Meet Andressa,
I’m interested in what brings you here, and what may be happening underneath it.
I’m Andressa Little, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas, providing virtual therapy for teens, adults, and couples under clinical supervision at The Harbor: Cypress Family Therapy.
My clinical experience has spanned inpatient psychiatry, community mental health, and private practice. Across those settings, I’ve learned that what brings someone to therapy is often only part of the story.
ANXIETY
But underneath it might be a fear of disappointing people.
RELATIONSHIP CONFLICT
But perhaps you’ve spent years making yourself smaller to keep the peace.
CONFIDENCE
While quietly questioning whether you’re allowed to want what you want at all.
Those layers are where I’m interested in working.
The meaning of Inner Axis
An axis represents a steady point of reference amid life's constant change.
UNDERSTAND
Explore the experiences, relationships, and expectations that have shaped who you are.
RECONNECT
Rediscover what feels true to you, what no longer fits, and what you want to carry forward.
BECOME
Make room for new ways of relating, choosing, and living as you grow into who you are becoming.
Experience
We're shaped by what happens to us, by the people we love, what we lose, what we're taught, and what we survive. But being shaped by our experiences is not the same as being defined by them.
How I work
My approach is relational, collaborative, and trauma-informed. It's grounded in relational and psychodynamic principles, informed by attachment theory, and complemented by evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other approaches as appropriate to your needs. I don't follow a one-size-fits-all formula. Training gives me a framework; the person sitting across from me helps determine how that framework is applied.
