A different Approach

Insight is a beginning. Change is a practice.

You may know what’s happening.‍ You may just not know what to do with it.

You know you avoid conflict.
You know you accommodate.
You know you shut down.

You may even understand where some of it comes from.

And yet, when the moment comes, you find yourself doing it again.

The same argument.
The same anxiety.
The same resentment.
The same hesitation.

Or maybe you can't quite explain what's wrong. You just know something feels different, difficult, or harder than it should.

That's where therapy can begin.

At Inner Axis, we don't stop at understanding. We slow down enough to explore what's underneath, understand what keeps you stuck, and practice responding differently.

What might bring you here?

  • Anxiety & Overthinking

Your mind keeps trying to solve something that can't be solved by thinking about it one more time.

You replay conversations, anticipate what could go wrong, search for certainty, or spend so much time thinking that it's difficult to feel present in your own life.

  • ADHD & Emotional Regulation

Knowing what to do doesn't always make doing it easier.

You may understand exactly what needs to happen and still struggle to start, follow through, stay organized, or manage the intensity of your emotions. Over time, that can turn into frustration, self-criticism, or shame.

  • Relationships & Boundaries

You know what you want to say. Saying it feels like another matter.

You may avoid conflict, accommodate, over-explain, or shut down. You may know you need a boundary but worry about disappointing someone, creating conflict, or changing the relationship.

  • Grief & Loss

You know life has to keep moving. You just don't know how to move with it.

When someone dies, a relationship ends, or the life you expected changes, grief can affect more than how you feel. It can change how you see yourself, your relationships, your routines, and what you imagine for the future.

  • Family & Relationship Changes

Sometimes the hardest part isn't deciding what happened. It's figuring out how to live with what happened.

You may be navigating divorce, separation, betrayal, changing family roles, difficult co-parenting dynamics, estrangement, or a relationship that no longer feels the way it once did.

  • Life Transitions & Identity

The life you built may no longer fit the person you're becoming.

A new career, marriage, divorce, parenthood, move, loss, or relationship change can leave you questioning what you actually wan and whether the life you're living still feels like your own.

The work starts with the pattern.

The way we respond to life isn't random. Sometimes we react before we've had a chance to think. Sometimes we repeat something we promised ourselves we wouldn't. Sometimes we know exactly what we want to say but can't seem to say it. Therapy can help you slow those moments down and become curious about what's happening—not to judge it, but to understand it. From there, we can work toward having more choice in how you respond, how you relate to others, and how you move through your life.

Meet Andressa

What therapy with me can feel like

Curious, not formulaic.

We'll look closely at what's happening without reducing you to a checklist.

Honest, not simply reassuring.

I'll listen carefully, ask questions, offer observations, and challenge you when it may be helpful.

Deep, but connected to real life.

We may talk about your past, but the work stays connected to what's happening in your life now.

Collaborative, not prescriptive.

We'll work together so you can understand your options and make choices that feel right for you.

You don't need to know how therapy works before you start.

If you've never been to therapy before, you may not know what you're supposed to say or where to begin. That's okay. You can come in with a specific concern. You can come in feeling overwhelmed. You can come in unsure of what you need. You can simply say: “I don't really know where to start.” We'll start there.

A free 15-minute consultation is a chance to briefly talk about what brings you to therapy, ask questions, and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.
